COMMON QUESTIONS

What the Bible says about Heaven & Hell

What does the Bible say Heaven is like?

Scripture describes Heaven as a new creation where God dwells with His people and wipes away every tear, with no more death, mourning, or pain (Revelation 21:1–4). It speaks of the river of the water of life, the tree of life, and God's own light (Revelation 22:1–5), and of Jesus preparing a place for those who trust Him (John 14:2–3).

Who will go to Heaven?

The Bible teaches that eternal life is a gift received through faith in Jesus Christ: "whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Those who confess and believe are saved (Romans 10:9), and Jesus says, "I am the way and the truth and the life" (John 14:6).

Is Hell real according to the Bible?

Yes. Jesus spoke of Hell plainly and often, warning of the fire prepared for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41) and of the danger of being cast into Hell (Mark 9:43–48). Scripture describes judgment and separation from the presence of the Lord (2 Thessalonians 1:9).

Why would a loving God allow Hell?

Scripture presents God's holiness and justice alongside His patience and mercy: He is "not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). Judgment is real (Romans 6:23), yet God sent His Son not to condemn the world, but to save it (John 3:17).

Can anyone be saved from Hell?

Yes — the Bible's central promise is that "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13). God "wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:4), and the invitation is simple: "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31).
